Safety
Above all this is a space for teens to be themselves. That requires that Pride House provides safety - from harm, judgement, outing, and all of the struggles LGBTQ+ teens may face in their home and school lives.
Community
Pride House provides a sense of belonging, friendship, and mentorship. By helping teens connect with each other and adults in the LGBTQ+ population, they have a community of support to fall back on when they need it.
Self-Creation
Our goal is to help LGBTQ+ teens become the version of themselves they want to be. Whether that connects to gender, sexual orientation, or any other aspect of their personhood, Pride House is there to help them blossom into themselves. As well as provide a space for them to try new things!
Celebration
While Pride House is here to help with all of the difficulties LGBTQ+ teens may face, it is also here to celebrate LGBTQ+ teens. Pride House aims to help foster a sense of joy and pride in who we all are as individuals.
Support
Pride House is a place to find help and affirmation. Everyone involved in the organization helps provide a framework for the success and happiness of the people it serves. This includes allyship trainings, homework help, community building, and so much more!
Family
Pride House respects and reaffirms all kinds and types of families - chosen or given. Where we find our families may change, but Pride House is a space that helps make whatever type of family our teens have a family that supports and cares for them.
Growth
Whether growing your own identity, or growing your allyship, Pride House will provide the soil that helps you. Adult staff can help mentor and talk through personal challenges and changes, while our educational resources help build systems of respect and care in Gallatin Valley.
Care
Pride House promises to care about you. However you find your way to us, whatever you need, we care about you and what is best for you. You get the freedom to determine what that means, and support while you decide what help you need to be the best you. When you do, we will help you find that help and continue to support your journey.
Education
When we learn more about those around us, our community is enriched and invigorated. Pride House wants everyone to live in a Gallatin Valley that respects and values them. Part of how we do this is by providing learning tools. Whether you are an ally of many years or new to this community, we are here to help!
Inclusivity
Pride House is for LGBTQ+ teens of all shapes, sizes, colors, backgrounds, faiths, and origins. When identities intersect, it can make challenges even more complicated. Pride House affirms the difficulties of not only being LGBTQ+, but also Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or otherwise of color. We also affirm disability and provide accommodations. The LGBTQ+ world is endlessly diverse, so Pride House must be an ally of all marginalized communities.
Connection
Pride House works in tandem with other local and national organizations that support marginalized groups. With these connections, we can guide people where they need to go for whatever their needs may be. Check out our Resources page to learn more!
